Privacy Policy
In short: we don't ask for your name, we don't make you create an account, and we don't run servers that collect your data. Your game progress stays on your device. If a game shows ads, Google's advertising service collects some device information to show and measure them, as described below.
Who we are
Awake Games is an independent game studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy covers the mobile games we publish (the "games"). Questions are welcome at support@awakegames.ca.
What stays on your device
Your progress, scores, settings, coins and items are saved only on your device. We don't receive a copy. Uninstalling a game deletes this data. Our games don't use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
What we collect
We, Awake Games, don't collect personal information through the games. There are no accounts, and we don't use our own analytics or tracking.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Our games may show ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, such as:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (for example, your country or city) can be inferred;
- device and app information, such as the device model, operating system and language;
- how you interact with ads, and app diagnostics such as crashes.
Google handles this information under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices:
- Where the law requires it (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice later in the game's settings.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's settings (usually under Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.
In-app purchases
If you buy something in a game, Google Play processes the payment. We receive confirmation that the purchase happened so we can unlock it, but we never see your card or payment details. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
Our games are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our games, contact us and we'll help.
Your rights
Since we don't hold personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data held by Google, use Google's tools linked above. You can always write to us with a privacy question or complaint, and in Canada you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If our games start handling information differently, we'll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
